The Quilted Jacket and the Toque

I have a weakness for toques aka beanies for the rest of the world.  It’s going to be a recurring theme on this blog especially living in Canada.

This textured grey quilted jacket was from Urban Outfitters back in the spring.  I was on the hunt for quilted jackets and it was on sale for $29.99 which is a bargain for the brand Ecote.

I’m not a big fan of the princess puff shoulders but it works on this jacket.  It creates a more feminine shape and the back of the jacket gives the illusion of a waist.

I love to tough up feminine pieces, that’s how I roll 🙂  With the jacket, I styled it up with distressed jeans from Textile by Elizabeth & James that I got for 70% off from the Bay and a pair of well-loved boots which are also by Ecote.  The black tank top came from Forever 21 and the bandeau underneath was brought five years ago.

Accessories are the best, they can make an outfit go from bland to wow!  In this case, I wore crystal eye earrings and a snake ring that were brought at the Bay.  My tear-drop fossil ring was brought at the North Beach festival in San Francisco.

Have a happy Tuesday! !  Only four more days till the weekend….
